We utilize the hot-chamber die-casting process to manufacture aluminum alloy LED housings for our clients. Housings made from aluminum alloy typically feature a smooth surface and offer enhanced durability. The following outlines our production steps.

ADC12 Aluminum Alloy 650°C Melt Temperature High-Pressure Injection Zero Material Waste Powder Coat / Anodizing

Basically, we take an aluminum alloy – usually ADC12 – and melt it down to about 650°C. Then we shoot it into a steel mold under high pressure. Real fast. That way, the metal gets into all those little fins and thin walls. You need that for an aluminium housing for LED lights, because the fins are what pull the heat away.

The mold opens after maybe 30 to 60 seconds. Pop the part out, trim off the extra bits – the flash, runners, that stuff. The leftover aluminum just goes back into the next batch. No waste.

Sometimes we drill a few holes or tap threads after casting. Depends on the design. For outdoor lights, we usually add a powder coat or anodizing, so it doesn't corrode.

That's pretty much it. Solid, lightweight, and it won't cook your LEDs.

Aluminum Die Casting Processing Service

  1. 1 Aluminum die casting forces molten aluminum alloy into a mold under high pressure. This process produces parts in high volumes at low costs.
  2. 2 Aluminum die casting includes two processes: hot chamber and cold chamber. These two processes are used for different types of aluminum alloys.
  3. 3 A complete cycle can take anywhere from one second for a small component to several minutes for a large part. This makes aluminum die casting one of the fastest techniques available for producing precise aluminum alloy parts.
  4. 4 All aluminum die casting parts are customized according to the client's drawing or samples.
  5. 5 Certification is provided according to the customer's requirements.

We focus on providing metal component solutions for vehicles, construction machinery, transportation equipment, furniture, valves, pump systems, and aluminum LED light housing.

By keeping manufacturing process design, quality planning, key production steps, and final quality control all in house, we are able to supply high quality mechanical parts and assembly services to customers in both domestic and international markets.

To meet our customers' diverse requirements for mechanical performance and functionality, we produce a wide range of metal products using various blank forming methods and manufacturing technologies. These methods and technologies include aluminum die casting, zinc die casting, magnesium die casting, aluminum casting, and forging.

We get involved early in our customers' design process. At that stage, we provide professional advice and support on process feasibility, cost optimization, and functional solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q What aluminum alloy is typically used for LED light housings in die casting?
We primarily use ADC12 aluminum alloy for manufacturing LED light housings. ADC12 offers excellent fluidity at high temperatures, making it ideal for filling intricate mold geometries such as thin heat-dissipation fins. It also provides good strength, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability after casting.
Q What is the difference between hot-chamber and cold-chamber die casting?
Hot-chamber die casting keeps the injection mechanism submerged in molten metal, making it faster and suited for lower-melting-point alloys. Cold-chamber die casting ladles molten metal into a separate chamber before each shot, making it better suited for higher-melting-point aluminum alloys. The choice depends on the specific alloy and part requirements.
Q Can you produce aluminum die cast parts based on custom drawings or samples?
Yes. All aluminum die casting parts we manufacture are fully customized according to the client's drawings or physical samples. We also get involved early in the design process to provide professional advice on process feasibility, cost optimization, and functional solutions before production begins.
Q What surface treatments are available for aluminum die cast LED housings?
We offer multiple surface finishing options including powder coating and anodizing. Both treatments significantly improve corrosion resistance, which is especially important for outdoor LED light housings exposed to moisture and UV. Additional post-casting operations such as drilling and thread tapping are also available depending on the design requirements.
Q How fast is the aluminum die casting production cycle?
A complete die casting cycle can range from as little as one second for small components to several minutes for larger, more complex parts. This makes aluminum die casting one of the fastest manufacturing techniques for producing high-volume, precise aluminum alloy components with consistent quality.
Q What industries do you supply aluminum die cast parts to?
We supply aluminum die cast parts to a wide range of industries including vehicles, construction machinery, transportation equipment, furniture, valves, pump systems, and LED lighting. We serve both domestic and international markets, with in-house quality control covering process design, production, and final inspection to ensure consistent part quality.
