We utilize the hot-chamber die-casting process to manufacture aluminum alloy LED housings for our clients. Housings made from aluminum alloy typically feature a smooth surface and offer enhanced durability. The following outlines our production steps.

1

We take an aluminum alloy — usually ADC12 — and melt it down to about 650°C, then shoot it into a steel mold under high pressure. The metal fills all the fins and thin walls rapidly.
2

The mold opens after 30–60 seconds. The part is ejected and trimmed — flash, runners, and excess material are removed. Leftover aluminum is recycled back into the next batch with zero waste.
3

Post-casting operations such as drilling or thread tapping are performed as needed. For outdoor fixtures, we apply powder coating or anodizing to prevent corrosion.

This process produces a solid, lightweight aluminium housing for LED lights — the fin geometry effectively dissipates heat, protecting your LEDs from thermal damage.

Aluminum Die Casting Processing Service
  • Aluminum die casting forces molten aluminum alloy into a mold under high pressure. This process produces parts in high volumes at low costs.
  • Aluminum die casting includes two processes: hot chamber and cold chamber. These two processes are used for different types of aluminum alloys.
  • A complete cycle can take anywhere from one second for a small component to several minutes for a large part — making aluminum die casting one of the fastest techniques available for producing precise aluminum alloy parts.
  • All aluminum die casting parts are fully customized according to the client's drawing or samples.
  • Certification is provided according to the customer's requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What aluminum alloy is typically used for LED light housings in die casting?
We primarily use ADC12 aluminum alloy, which offers an excellent balance of castability, strength, and thermal conductivity. Its properties make it ideal for LED housings that require efficient heat dissipation through fin structures.
Q What is the difference between hot-chamber and cold-chamber die casting?
In hot-chamber die casting, the injection mechanism is submerged in molten metal, making it faster and suited for lower-melting-point alloys. Cold-chamber die casting uses a separate melting furnace and is better suited for higher-melting-point alloys such as aluminum. We select the appropriate process based on the alloy and part requirements.
Q Can you manufacture aluminum LED housings based on our custom drawings or samples?
Yes. All of our aluminum die casting parts are fully customized based on the customer's provided drawings or physical samples. We also offer early-stage design support, including advice on process feasibility and cost optimization.
Q What surface treatment options are available for outdoor LED housings?
For outdoor applications, we recommend powder coating or anodizing. Both treatments provide strong corrosion resistance and extend the service life of the housing in harsh environmental conditions. The choice depends on your aesthetic and functional requirements.
Q How long does a typical aluminum die casting production cycle take?
Cycle times vary depending on part size and complexity. A small component can be completed in as little as one second per cycle, while larger parts may take several minutes. This makes die casting one of the most efficient high-volume manufacturing methods available.
Q What industries do you supply aluminum die casting parts to?
We supply aluminum die casting components across a wide range of industries, including automotive, construction machinery, transportation equipment, furniture, valves, pump systems, and LED lighting. We serve both domestic and international markets with consistent quality and on-time delivery.
